How we approach AI transparency, and why it matters
Real estate images edited or generated by AI carry disclosure obligations for the person who publishes them. This page explains what our tools do, what they never do, and what that means for you.
What our tools never change
Every tool preserves the permanent, structural elements of a property exactly as photographed: walls, windows, doors, floors, ceilings and room proportions. Our tools only add, remove or adjust what is movable — furniture, decor, lighting and finishes. If an edit would misrepresent a structural feature the property doesn't have, it falls outside what we build.
What you must disclose as an agent
Most listing portals and real estate regulators require that virtually staged or AI-edited photos be disclosed as such. As the publisher, that responsibility is yours, not the platform's. Since 2 August 2026, the EU AI Act (Article 50) also requires clear disclosure when synthetic or manipulated image content is shown to the public, with a transition period running to 2 December 2026 for systems already on the market.
This image has been virtually staged with AI. Furniture and decor are digital. The property's walls, windows, flooring and layout are unaltered and shown as they are.
Technical marking
We are evaluating machine-readable content credentials (such as C2PA) for a future release. Today, disclosure to buyers and portals is the publisher's responsibility — use the text above, or your portal's own staging disclosure field.
Where your data is processed
Uploaded photos are processed on infrastructure located in the European Union, under EU law. Stageless AI operates on a strict session-only basis for property images — see our Privacy Policy for details.
