Pedra Alternatives: 7 AI Virtual Staging Tools Compared (2026)

Pedra is one of the more capable virtual staging platforms available in Europe, and it is the tool most Iberian agents evaluate first. If you are looking for an alternative, it is usually for one of four reasons: price at your volume, a specific capability it handles differently, geometric accuracy on awkward rooms, or the shape of the credit model. See our full Stageless AI vs Pedra comparison for a point-by-point breakdown.

This compares seven alternatives against what Pedra actually does, checked in August 2026. It includes our own platform, and it includes the things Pedra does better than we do, because a comparison written by one of the products in it is worth nothing unless it says that.

Prices and features change. Verify before committing, particularly on credit allowances, which move more often than headline prices.

Why Agents Look for a Pedra Alternative

Four reasons come up repeatedly.

Price at volume. Pedra's Pro plan starts at 29 euros per month on a credit-based model, where a staging or an enhancement consumes one credit and a floor plan render consumes two. For an agent processing a handful of images a month that is straightforward. For someone processing sixty, the question becomes what the credit allowance actually covers and what happens when it runs out.

Geometric accuracy on difficult rooms. Any AI staging tool performs well on a rectangular room with light from one side. Rooms with bay windows, angled walls or complex sightlines are where tools separate, and it is worth testing your own awkward rooms rather than the demo gallery.

A specific capability. Pedra covers a wide surface. Some agents want a narrower tool that does one thing more predictably, and some want a capability Pedra handles differently from how they need it.

Language and support. This matters more than feature lists suggest, and it is the reason Pedra has strong adoption in Spain and Portugal in the first place.

How We Compared

Five criteria, in the order they matter once you are actually publishing listings rather than evaluating.

Architectural accuracy. Does the output preserve the geometry of the input photograph? Window positions, wall angles, floor proportions and existing features must not move. This is the criterion that separates tools in production and it is invisible in a marketing gallery.

Output quality at full resolution. Does it hold up at delivery size rather than at thumbnail size? Furniture materials, shadow direction and lighting integration are the tells.

Coverage of the listing workflow. Interior staging, decluttering, exterior work, video, tours. How much of the job does one platform do.

Revision cost. What happens when a client asks for one change. Regeneration produces a different image and breaks consistency across a set. Targeted editing does not.

Real cost per listing at your volume, not per image at the headline rate.

What Pedra Actually Does

The baseline, because an alternatives article that misrepresents the incumbent is useless.

Pedra covers virtual staging, emptying occupied rooms, and digital renovation of interiors, exteriors, facades, gardens and pools. Photo enhancement includes perspective correction, lighting adjustment, sky replacement, watermark removal, and colour and brightness optimisation.

Beyond stills, it creates short branded videos from static photographs, in the range of fifteen to thirty seconds, with automatic captions, music and both horizontal and vertical export. It has a 360 degree virtual tour builder that accepts panoramic images, supports hotspot placement for guided navigation, allows logo and colour customisation, includes lead capture forms, and provides embeddable code with hosting included in the subscription. It also draws floor plans and converts floor plan images into photorealistic renders, and includes social media automation and collaborative workspaces.

Pricing starts at 29 euros per month for the Pro plan, credit-based, cancel anytime, with a free trial. One credit per staging or enhancement, two credits per floor plan render.

That is a broad platform, and any honest comparison starts by acknowledging it.

The Seven Alternatives

1. Stageless AI

Best for: agents who need geometric accuracy on non-standard rooms, and a layout-ordered video walkthrough rather than a short social video.

Developed by Caixa Magica Software in Lisbon. Covers interior staging in Modern, Scandinavian, Mediterranean, Industrial, Minimalist and Luxury, renovation of floor coverings, wall finishes and architectural elements, decluttering and object removal, automated exposure and colour correction with 4K output, exterior work including facade renovation, garden refresh, object removal and sky replacement, and AI video tours.

Two things it does differently. The first is geometry as a hard constraint rather than a quality target: the model is trained on architectural photography with geometric accuracy as a fixed requirement, which shows on rooms with bay windows or angled walls and in the floor surface revealed when furniture is removed.

The second is Edit with Instructions. After receiving a staged image you describe the change in plain language and only that change is applied. Changing a sofa colour affects the sofa. Removing a rug leaves the rest intact. This matters because the alternative, regeneration, produces a different arrangement, and a regenerated room no longer matches the other rooms in the same property.

The video tour is a layout-ordered walkthrough rather than a short branded clip. You upload 3 to 30 photos, optionally a floor plan for automatic room detection, assign photos to rooms and drag the rooms into the order a buyer would walk through. Four styles: Cinematic, Modern, Luxury, Minimal. Each photo becomes roughly five seconds of video. One video credit per tour, generation in 3 to 10 minutes, MP4 output with a share link.

Where it is weaker than Pedra, plainly. There is no 360 degree tour builder, no hosted embeddable tour with lead capture, no floor plan drawing tool, and no social media automation. The floor plan is an input, not something the platform creates for you. The video tour launched in July 2026, so it has less production history than a mature feature. And because length is tied to photo count, a long tour has to be planned at the photo selection stage rather than trimmed afterwards.

Pricing: from 0.60 euros per image pay-as-you-go, monthly plans from 20 to 99 euros. Three free credits on signup, no credit card.

2. Collov AI

Best for: high style variety on standard rectangular rooms, at speed.

One of the most widely used staging tools globally, with a large furniture library and fast processing. On standard rooms with straightforward lighting it produces consistently strong results.

The limitation appears in production rather than in testing. On rooms with bay windows, angled walls or complex sightlines it occasionally shifts window positions or introduces perspective distortion. Subtle enough to pass often, detectable at full resolution against the original.

Exterior capability exists but is less developed than its interior work. No layout-ordered video tour.

Pricing: credit-based, around 16 dollars per image at standard tier, with volume pricing for agencies.

3. REimagineHome

Best for: evaluating AI staging for the first time without committing.

The most accessible entry point in this list. Simple interface, fast processing, and a free tier substantial enough to form a real opinion. On empty rectangular rooms the output is adequate for most listings.

Performance falls off in rooms with complex geometry or difficult light. Exterior work is concept visualisation rather than a renovation workflow.

Pricing: free tier with limited credits, paid plans from around 29 dollars per month. See our full Stageless AI vs REimagineHome comparison.

4. Apply Design

Best for: manual control over furniture placement after AI generation.

A hybrid: AI staging plus a drag-and-drop editor for repositioning individual pieces afterwards. Useful when a client has specific views about layout that the default arrangement does not match.

The cost is time. Each image needing manual adjustment takes considerably longer, which usually makes the trade-off wrong for volume work.

Pricing: from around 15 dollars per image.

5. Virtual Staging AI

Best for: straightforward interior staging with unlimited regeneration on a flat monthly cost.

Narrow and focused. Furnish empty rooms quickly, with unlimited regeneration on all plans, which is genuinely useful when you want to try several style variations before choosing.

Consistent on standard residential spaces. No decluttering, no exterior work, no targeted editing, no video.

Pricing: from around 25 dollars per month for 20 staged images.

6. BoxBrownie

Best for: human oversight and a quality guarantee on high-value listings.

A managed service rather than a self-service tool. Human editors process every image, which produces consistency that fully automated tools do not always match, and revision rounds are included if the output misses.

The trade-offs are cost and speed: roughly 24 to 32 dollars per room with 24 to 48 hour turnaround. At production volume the economics are difficult. Exterior work is limited to day-to-dusk and image enhancement. See our full Stageless AI vs BoxBrownie comparison.

Remains the right answer for luxury listings and for agents who have been burned by AI-only output.

7. Stager AI

Best for: developers needing visual consistency across many identical units.

Built for the situation where predictability across forty identical T2 apartments matters more than style range. Clean, modern, consistent output, which is exactly what development marketing needs.

Narrower style range than most alternatives. No exterior work, no video.

Pricing: subscription-based.

Which One Fits Your Situation

If you need hosted 360 tours with lead capture

Stay with Pedra. None of the seven alternatives above offers a hosted, embeddable 360 tour builder with hotspots and lead capture forms. If that is part of your service offering, this is not a decision the rest of the feature list should overturn.

If you need a floor plan drawing tool

Stay with Pedra. It draws floor plans and converts plan images into renders. The alternatives treat a floor plan as something you already have.

If your rooms are architecturally awkward

Test Stageless AI against your own difficult rooms. Geometric preservation is its clearest differentiator and awkward rooms are where it shows. Do not test with a demo room.

If your revision cycle is the bottleneck

Stageless AI, for instruction editing, or Virtual Staging AI, for unlimited regeneration at a flat cost. These are opposite solutions to the same problem: one avoids regeneration, the other makes it free.

If you want a walkthrough rather than a social clip

These are different products and the distinction is worth being precise about. Pedra produces short branded videos from photographs, fifteen to thirty seconds, built for social. Stageless AI produces a longer walkthrough with the rooms connected in the layout order of the property. Neither replaces the other. If you want both, you are choosing which one you generate elsewhere.

If quality assurance matters more than cost

BoxBrownie. Human editing and included revisions on high-value listings, at a price that does not work at volume.

If you are evaluating for the first time

REimagineHome's free tier, or Stageless AI's three free credits. Both let you form an opinion on your own photographs before paying anything.

What Pedra Does Better Than We Do

Four things, stated plainly, because a comparison page that finds no fault with its own product is a sales page pretending otherwise.

Hosted 360 tours. Panoramic input, hotspot navigation, branding, lead capture forms, embed code, hosting in the subscription. We do not have this and it is a real capability gap, not a positioning difference.

Floor plan creation and rendering. Pedra draws plans and renders them. We accept a plan as an optional input for room detection and do not create one.

Social automation and collaborative workspaces. Pedra has both. For an agency coordinating several people on the same listings, this is a workflow advantage.

Short-form social video. Fifteen to thirty second branded clips with captions and music, in vertical and horizontal, is a different and genuinely useful output from a layout-ordered walkthrough. Our tour needs a separate export to serve that purpose well.

A Note on This Comparison

We publish a broader ranking of staging tools, and an earlier version of it understated Pedra materially. It listed Pedra as having no exterior staging and no video, and described its instruction editing as limited. On the evidence available in August 2026 that was wrong: Pedra renovates exteriors, facades, gardens and pools, creates video from photographs, and builds hosted 360 tours.

We are correcting it, and saying so here rather than quietly. A comparison that flatters the author is not information, and an agent who checks one claim and finds it false has no reason to trust the other twenty.

Every factual claim in this article was checked in August 2026 against the vendor's own published material or independent software directories. Where we could not verify a figure, it is described as approximate rather than stated precisely.

Getting Started

The only test that settles this is your own photographs, specifically the awkward room you already know is difficult.

Stageless AI gives three free credits on signup, no credit card required. Stage that room, look at the window positions and the floor under where the furniture was, and compare against whatever you use now.
